Caroline Kennedy to head Obama’s VP search

Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy and niece of Senator Ted Kennedy, has been chosen to head Senator Obama’s vice presidential search. Also on Senator Obama’s VP search committee are former Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson and former deputy attorney general Eric Holder. The three of them will vet and interview all potential VP candidates and make recommendations accordingly.

Kennedy’s appointment to head the VP search committee, has the added bonus of showing that a woman will be involved in the VP selection process. It should be noted that Caroline Kennedy is extremely competent and well-qualified to lead a vice presidential search committee.
